Insurance is approximate 6% of ex-show room price. Depending on the state, road tax would be 6% to 12% of ex-showroom price. OTR or on-the-road price, is ex-showroom price + insurance + tax.

Most financiers provide finance on OTR. All nationalised banks, & private banks provide loan.

For some vehicles, depending on type of registration (eg taxi), in some states, u will have to pay anything between Rs. 3600 per year to 450 per passenger per quarter (3 months) as road tax, instead of flat 6-12% flat lifetime tax.
