Use: Within City and occasionally long drives.
If the A/c is ON, will there be any drop in mileage in Diesel and Petrol Versions? Please let me know.

If the drive is with in the city then its always better to opt petrol as frequent stops and starts increases the maintenance for Diesel engines. The power will also be more for petrol engine obviously. And yes, there will be a drop in mileage and power when the AC is on.

Diesel will give you more power but currently in the US diesel is higher than regular unleaded gas. The engines are quite different in the way they operate. Also, not all gas/service stations carry diesel fuel. Find someone who has the same model car you like and feel free to ask them if they like their car, either petrol or diesel. Good luck and have fun with your new auto.

The days to come will see no much deference between petrol and diesel. So go for the petrol.

hi l think you should go for a diesel as it has many advtanges over petrol but the maintance is high compared to petrol as the difference is high between the two fuels you can go a diesel one over petrol as the company is internationally branded you shount worry

Hyundai Verna is much better option than this model, in the long run. Invest wisely.

Hi,
l am myself the owner of a diesel logan. If u r doing atleast 40 km a day, then diesel should make sense to you.
However, if its less, then stick to petrol.

Apart from looks, the Logan is massively spacious. You have to be in it to beleive its sheer space & size.

My diesel babe gives me 18.5 km in city without AC. with AC it gives me 17.5. Not much difference.
On highways, the equation changes tremendously. 25.5 without AC & 24.5 with AC.

The 1.6L Petrol is great. However, on 1.4L Petrol with 5 people & AC, dont expect it to be a rocket.

Any other queries, just ask me

If you drive more than 30 kms, then the logan diesel is a good choice. Otherwise, the petrol it is. But the best of the lot is the diesel. Naturally, when you on the AC, there will be a slight drop in power and efficiency. Only slightly.

Hi,

l would definitely suggest the petrol version of this car for city driving as u need a smoother car with better driveability. If u have a chauffer then please opt for the Diesel variant. There will be a marginal drop in fuel efficiency with the Air Conditioner turned on. The drop may be upto 10% in the extreme weather conditions. The results will be clearly visible on the highway on a very hot summer day where u can manage 16Kmpl on a smooth stretch of road with the AC on. But when it is turned off the car may give 17.5Kmpl.

Have u considered other cars like the Aveo or the Fusion?

do you live in a cold region or a hot region if cold you should prefer petrol and if a hot region you should prefer diesel
