I want to know the mileage and performance of Mahindra Logan, Petrol.

Mahindra-Renault, a 51:49 joint venture between Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) & French car maker Renault, has launched the mid-sized sedan car, `LOGAN` in the Indian market in the first week of April 2007. The Logan car plant at Nashik (next to Mahindra is plant) is manufacturing the car & has a capacity of only 50,000 Logans which will be ratailed via 31 dealers in nine cities. The car is been priced as follows:

The Logan is probably Renault is most basic offering in the European market & was developed as a low cost entry level saloon. It is a simple car with a utilitarian look & feel which serves the purpose of a basic family car. Mahindra although, is very confident about the Logan considering that it will be offered with both petrol & diesel motors & is priced competitively between Rs. 4.2-6.5 lakh. With such a pricing Mahindra-Renault plan to garner the market share of the Indigo, Ikon, Accent & the premium mid size sedans such as the Fiesta & Aveo.

The Logan is design is very boring & basic in order to keep costs low, notice the lack of a rear quarter glass, single mould dashboard, straight lines et al. The only saving grace is probably the nose which looks contemporary atleast & the flared wheel arches give give the car a somewhat muscular look. The engines, especially the diesel is the highlight, the Mahindra Renault Logan is offered with a 1.4 litre petrol motor producing 75 bhp & a 1.5 litre Turbo Dci diesel motor producing 70 bhp & 16kgm of torque. The car is also expected to possess an European spec suspension which will give it sharp handling characteristics & robustness. The cars interiors r spruced up for the Indian market considering that Indian is look for a more upmarket feel in a saloon even if its an entry level one. Almost half of the parts of the Mahindra Renault Logan will come from Europe

well it has boxy looks n ..d boot is good.performance n ride is nt vry good..sales arnt impreesive2
if u wr plannin2buy gl/gle go4 swift diesel..bettr efficiency gd pickup..n styling...
if d gls/glx..go4aveo1.4..d spares r cheap.d gears had a problm..bt chevy has wrkd on it

A little boring and unrefined to drive compared to the Fiesta/ Aveo/ Baleno/ SX4, but better than the Indigo Petrol, and is cheaper than all the above except the Indigo.

Mileage in city conditions should be on par with the Indigo or a little better - maybe about 10kmpl

30 miles per gallon 80hp

The mileage is 18 in city and 21 on a highway. It is not running very well. The interiors are good but the exteriors do not look very good.
